Our verdict
Seeking Alpha puts two things on one stock page: articles written by investors and analysts, and a data-driven Quant Rating with five Factor Grades. If you mostly buy US stocks and like to read the arguments for and against a company, it is one of the most complete places to do that.
The free Basic account is enough to try it: news, portfolios, price alerts, watchlists and one free Premium article. Premium adds the ratings. Through our partner link, new subscribers get a 7-day free trial, then USD 269 for the first year (list about USD 299), then renew at the then-current list price. Public subscriptions marketing can show a different intro; the partner landing page is what our CTA opens.
It is a weaker fit if most of your stocks trade in London, Europe or the UAE. Quant Ratings only cover US-listed stocks and ADRs.
What Seeking Alpha offers
Seeking Alpha sells more than one product. Premium, reviewed on this page, is the research platform. PRO is the top plan. Alpha Picks and Quant Growth & Income are separate pick services, not part of Premium, and two bundles combine them. Each one has its own review with prices checked on Seeking Alpha's pages.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
Good fit if you are
- Investors in US stocks who want to read the reasoning, not only a score
- People who like one quick rating that sums up value, growth, profitability, momentum and estimate revisions
- Investors happy to try Premium for 7 days, then pay yearly
Look elsewhere if you are
- Anyone whose stocks are mainly listed in the UK, EU or UAE (Quant Ratings cover US-listed stocks and ADRs only)
- Anyone who needs monthly billing for Premium: the affiliate offer we checked is yearly after the trial
- People who want non-US Quant Ratings (US-listed stocks and ADRs only)

Step 1 of 11Three ratings in one cardEvery US stock page has a Ratings card on the right. It puts three views side by side: Seeking Alpha authors, Wall Street analysts and Seeking Alpha's own Quant model, each scored from 1 to 5.Open full screenshot -
Step 2 of 11Factor Grades, now and 3 and 6 months agoBelow the ratings, five letter grades show where the company is strong or weak compared with its sector: Valuation, Growth, Profitability, Momentum and EPS Revisions. The 3M and 6M columns show how each grade has moved.Open full screenshot -
Step 3 of 11The Quant Rating explainedThe Ratings tab shows the Quant Rating on a scale from Strong Sell to Strong Buy. Seeking Alpha notes that it is not an average of the grades: it weighs the factors that it found most predictive more heavily.Open full screenshot -
Step 4 of 11How the rating changed over timeA history chart and a dated table show every past rating and grade, so you can see whether a rating is new or has held for months. Seeking Alpha says Quant Ratings update once a day.Open full screenshot -
Step 5 of 11Valuation against the sectorThe Valuation tab lists measures such as P/E and EV/Sales. Each one shows the company's figure, the sector median, its own 5-year average and a letter grade, so you can see what drives the overall Valuation Grade.Open full screenshot -
Step 6 of 11Dividend grades for income investorsThe Dividends tab grades Safety, Growth, Yield and Consistency against the sector, with plain one-line explanations, the payout ratio and the next dates.Open full screenshot -
Step 7 of 11Written analysis, with the author's ratingThe Analysis tab lists articles from independent authors. Each has a badge with the author's own view, from Strong Sell to Strong Buy, and you can filter by rating. Seeing bull and bear cases together is the main reason to use Seeking Alpha.Open full screenshot -
Step 8 of 11Each article shows how its call has doneInside an article, a box shows the author's rating when it was published, the price then, the change since and the S&P 500 change over the same time. It helps you judge an author's record, not only their argument.Open full screenshot -
Step 9 of 11Build your own stock screenAny screener lets you edit its filters. Here we took Top Rated Stocks and kept large and mega caps (over USD 10 billion) with a Quant Rating of Strong Buy, which left 122 stocks. You can edit the filters, save the screen or add the results to a portfolio.Open full screenshot -
Step 10 of 11Ready-made screens built on the ratingsReady-made screens such as Top Rated Stocks filter the market by the same ratings and grades, and show the Quant, SA Analyst and Wall Street ratings side by side with the five factor grades.Open full screenshot -
Step 11 of 11Alpha Picks is a separate subscriptionAlpha Picks, two picks a month from the Quant system, is sold separately from Premium. Its page compares the portfolio with the S&P 500 since July 2022: on 28 Oct 2026 it showed +300.99% against +102.75%. Past returns do not predict future results. We hid the current picks.Open full screenshot

Is a Quant Rating a buy or sell recommendation for me?
No. It is a model output that summarises data. It does not know your goals or situation. Use it as a starting point for your own research.
Some links are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How we make money. General information, not personal investment advice. Ratings and fair value estimates are model outputs or opinions and can be wrong.
